Day 01:- Shimla Full Day Local Sightseeing

As you wake amidst the coniferous trees surrounding your hotel, you would want to explore the city even more to get closer to it. Local excursion to the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, the famous Jakhoo Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, Gaiety theatre, Mall road, the Ridge ground Christ church, etc. Visit all places while enjoying the stroll around The Mall road and enjoy the local food in fancy cafes. Return back to the hotel, stay overnight and rest.

  • --Annandale is a flat terrain in Shimla that has been developed as the playground of the city. The ground is used to play cricket. Several other sports like Golf and Polo are also played here. Picnics too are organized here.
  • --Set amidst the lush green background of the Shivalik hill ranges, the highest point in Shimla, the Jakhu Temple is an ancient site dedicated to the Hindu god - Hanuman. Jakhu Temple has the world's largest Hanuman statue, which is visible from most parts of Shimla.
  • --Built in 1845, the Kalibari Temple is an ancient place of worship dedicated to Goddess Kali. The shrine houses a captivating idol of Goddess Kali beautifully adorned with jewellery and colourful flowers. Closely located to the Shimla City Mall, it is frequented by devotees in a large number. The evening of Navaratri is the best time to visit the temple as you'll be able to witness the aarti, and the chanting of the holy verses.

Day 02:- Shimla to Manali

On day 2, you will be leaving for next town on the list-Manali. Travel towards Manali while crossing through the kullu valley, sundernagar Lake, Pandoh Dam, Hanogi Devi temple and many other places. Upon arrival in Manali, check into the hotel in Manali and stay overnight. If you reach on time, a lot can be explored locally around the town.

  • --Sunder Nagar was formerly a Princely state known as Suket. The fascinating beauty of this small town is embraced by the man-made lake produced by the waters of Beas-Sutlej Project. This project is India's Biggest Hydel Project. It might be a small town but visiting here will surely sooth your mind and soul.
  • -- Like the other temples present in this town, Hanogi Mata temple is one of the best most sought after locations for all types of tourists. Whether you are here to imbibe the fresh atmosphere or visit the temples for spiritual enlightenment, this is a place you cannot miss. This is an easy-to-go location as it lies on the Manali Mandi Highway number 3.

Day 03:- Manali-- Rohtang Pass and Snow Point.

Today’s the day full of adventure as we are going to leave for the snow point and Rohtang Pass near Manali. A mountain peak covered under the blanket of snow looks all shimmery as the sunlight falls on it. This enchanting view could be witnessed at Rohtang Pass. Also you can indulge in skiing, snow scooter riding, yak safari etc in Rohtang. While returning back halt at Solang Vaelley, enjoy rafting, paragliding and other adventurous activities there. Drive back to the hotel and stay overnight for rest.

Day 04:- Manali Local Sight Seeing.

Today you are going to explore the scenic twon of Manali while indulging in various adventure activities if you wish to. In the morning visit the famous Hadimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, Vashishth temple, Vashishth hot water sulphur springs, Club house, Buddhist Monasteries, and Van Vihar. Later in the day, explore the famous Tibetan Market and stroll around the Mall Road in the evening while indulging in some leisure activities in the evening. Spend the night at the hotel in Manali.

  • -- The Manu Temple is dedicated to an old sage after whom it has been named. The pagoda-style architecture of the shrine stands out amidst the deep valleys and mountain peaks that form a postcard-worthy backdrop. You will have to hike a little to reach the temple, but the views at the summit and the spiritual vibes it exudes make all your efforts completely worth it.
  • -- Located amidst the snow-covered hills of Manali, the Hadimba Temple is a unique shrine dedicated to Hidimba DeviThe main attraction of the temple is the three day Hidimba Devi Festival, which attracts devotees from all over the world and features colourful folk dance performances.

Day 05:- Manali - Dharamshala

On day 5, you’ll leave early for Dharamashala from Manali. It will take 7 to 8 hours to reach Dharamshala. On the way, you will be visit enticing tea gardens in Palampur and famous Chamuda Devi Temple in Chamunda, Palampur. Later, we’ll drive you to McLeodganj, a small religious place in Dharamshala. Upon arrival at Mc.Leodganj, Check into the hotel, freshen up and take a tour of Mc’Leoadganj Monastery. At a residence of his holiness, Dalai Lama, you will feel the spiritual bliss. In the evening stroll around the local market, splurge and buy things.

  • -- Palampur is rightly known as the Tea Capital of Northern India and is famous all across the country for its vast spreads of lush tea gardens, which are the chief attraction of the town. The tea gardens of Palampur are the perfect place to witness the vast tea gardens and the tea making process in great detail.
  • -- This hilltop temple of Chamunda Devi, one among the 51 Shakti Peethas is approximately 10 kilometres towards west Palampur, on the banks of river Baner. It is one of the most revered religious sites in Himachal. Chamundeshwari Devi is said to be one of the most powerful avatars of Goddess Durga. Navratri is a prominent festivity of the Chamunda Devi Temple. It attracts several devotees.

Day 06--Dharamshala local Sightseeing

Today explore the exotic town of Dharamshala, visit McLeodganj, Dalai Lama Temple, Bhagsu waterfall, Naddi Village, and Dal Lake. If time persists, take a trek to Triund and enjoy the view of majestic Dhauladhar mountain ranges. Return to hotel and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

  • -- It is no exaggeration to say that the Dalai Lama Temple Complex in Dharamshala is one of the most peaceful places on earth. It is a centre for training monks and a place where tourists and practising Buddhists can come meditate and introspect amidst the ultimate serenity of nature.
  • -- McLeod Ganj is a suburb in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is also popularly known as "Little Lhasa" or "Dhasa". The city has got this name due to the large populations of Tibetans. Dharamshala –Dalhousie

On day 7, leave for another spellbinding town of Dalhousie. A tiny tinsel town set up during colonial era has a charm of old world days and imperial era. Day 08 - Dalhousie - Khajjiar- Dalhousie

Visit Khajjar also known as the Mini Switzerland of India after breakfast. Being one of the most scenic and saucer shaped Plateau which is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. What more? A lake is centrally located in the city to amuse your senses. Enjoy your walks around Khajjar or go for Paragliding in Dalhousie. Drive back to Dalhousie in evening to spend your night in the hotel.

  • ---- Often referred to as 'mini-Switzerland of India', Khajjiar is a small town located close (20km) to Dalhousie and is great for a day or overnight trip. Khajjiar is known for its picture perfect grassy meadows.
  • -- Khajjiar is incomplete without its lake, which is known as Khajjiar Lake. It stands right in the middle of the meadows that are surrounded by thick cedar forests. The lake is beautiful by itself, and plays a large part in contributing to the overall beauty of the area

Day 09:- Dalhousie-Pathankot

Today you are going to leave for Pathankot as the trip ends today. After an 8 days long and heavenly trip, you will dropped at Pathankot Railway Station for your further journey ahead.

  • --- Pathankot is a city located in Punjab, bordered by Pakistan on the west in the foothills of Kangra and Dalhousie. With the river Chakki passing by, Pathankot is located at the meeting point of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. It is best known for its serene green beauty and a rich historical past.
